The Wim Hof Method is increasing in popularity. 20,000 people in the closed facebook group recently, where we discuss our experience as learners doing the on-line course.
In my opinion Wim’s breathing technique may take over as the best way to breathe for optimising exercise and meditation. Wim says one of the effects is a lifting of mood and it might prevent depression. There is certainly an immediate benefit from the breathing – feeling alive, feeling aware, noticed the very first time you try it. For me, the improved physical performance during the ‘not needing to breathe’ minutes is amazing. For example number of press-ups goes up instantly by double or treble. The lack of muscular fatigue afterwards is a wonderful feeling and an encouragement to do more.
Cold-training is in parallel with breathing technique during 10 week on-line course. Ice baths are achieved by the end. A personal challenge for most of us, including me, that we would normally think we should not try and would never achieve. Addictive.
Dear Friends, Give the Wim Hof Method some consideration.
